Terms and Conditions

Full terms and conditions of carriage are listed below:


Chasing Cars and our Licensees are not common carriers and may refuse to carry any person/s without giving reason. Chasing Cars and our Licensees are responsible for services provided by it and has no liability for any other services. 

It is the hirer’s responsibility to read the full terms and conditions closely as confirming a booking confirms you accept the terms and conditions as set out below. 

Subject to the terms, Chasing Cars and it's Licensees have no responsibility for costs or losses including missed flights or travel connections, resulting from diversion, substitution, alterations, cancellations, delay’s or booking errors. It is the hirer’s responsibility to advise of any changes as full costs may be incurred. 

Passengers must comply with all laws and regulations in the state they are travelling and with the instructions of Chasing Cars and its Licensees. 

Except as otherwise provided by these terms, and to the extent permitted by law: (a) Chasing Cars and it's Licensees are not liable for death of or injury to any person, for loss or damage to luggage or goods, for delay’s, or for consequential or other loss of any kind, arising directly or indirectly from negligence or omission or some other cause in connection with provision or non-provision of any services and (b) Is not liable for inaccuracy in any information concerning transport services or its prices.


Insurance

Chasing Cars and it's Licensees are insured for passenger travel. This insurance is for public liability and not travel insurance. Although every effort will be made to ensure the safe keeping of personal property, we do not accept liability for loss or damage of personal items. Please check that you have sufficient coverage for any personal property that are brought onto our vehicles.


Credit Card Transactions

All bookings must be supplied with a valid credit card to be charged at the completion of the journey, unless alternate arrangements by form of an ongoing account have been made directly to Chasing Cars. If the transport or service is purchased with a credit card, purchaser agrees to make payment in full when billed. 

For cash payments the amount outstanding for the journey must be paid to the driver in full upon completion. The credit card on file for the booking will not be charged if the booking is paid in full by cash. If any outstanding balance remains, Chasing Cars reserves the right to charge the card any remaining balance to finalise the account. 


Credit Card Surcharge

All payments by Credit Cards are free from extra fees and surcharges charged by Chasing Cars. We are not responsible for any fees or charges billed to you by your financial institution as a result of any payment/s made to us. 

All rates are inclusive of GST and are charged per hour, per vehicle, unless fixed or other prices are quoted. Rates do not include; baby seats, and entrance fees to tourist attractions or any other special requests. 


Multiple Pickup/Set Down

Additional charges will apply for all extra pickup/set downs required enroute unless already quoted.


WAITING TIME POLICY


Arriving Passengers at airports

Standard complimentary waiting time varies dependant on arriving terminal, however as a guide Domestic arrivals consist of 15 minutes complimentary waiting time, whilst International arrivals have 30 minutes. This may vary, however the policy will be advised at the time of booking. 

No extra charges are levied for flight delays.

Please ensure you provide the correct arrival time / flight number / date. If in the case of an airport collection, your flight will be monitored and your driver will meet you at the designated area. A text or phone call will be sent within 15 minutes of landing if you have not shown. Domestic clients will be met prior to luggage collection, and International clients after luggage collection and customs clearance. Please ensure that you do not carry goods that keep you in customs beyond the normal limit times. Additional charges maybe applied after the complimentary wait time in blocks of 15 minutes at a rate of $1 per minute, with the minimum wait charge being $15. If you are experiencing luggage or customs delays, please do not hesitate to contact your driver, otherwise it is assumed it is a delay caused by other circumstances in which the delay charges will apply.

Please look for your name sign and driver I.D. 


Departing Passengers

For transfers to the airport, the complimentary waiting time allowance is 15 minutes from the booked pick up time. If the passenger makes the vehicle wait longer than 15 minutes, waiting time charges of $1 per minute, charged in blocks of 15 minutes will be charged. Minimum amount to be charged $15. 

Bookings made that do not allow enough time to reach the airport in time (with traffic allowance), or incorrect information given on bookings which causes flights to be missed, are not the responsibility of Chasing Cars and it's Licensees. If your driver in the unlikely event does not greet you on time due to traffic / breakdown / other reasons, we will advise you accordingly to ensure an alternative method of transport can be made to ensure you arrive at the airport for your flight. The booked vehicle / driver maybe substituted under these circumstances, or you maybe asked to find alternative transport. We stress this would be under exceptional circumstances that maybe unavoidable, or out of our control. 


Amendments

Any changes/amendments to your booking after confirmation can only be accepted subject to availability. Chasing Cars and it's Licensees reserves the right to charge an amendment fee in respect of any change to your booking, in addition to any other applicable charges in relation to the amendment. 


Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted prior to booked pick-up time. Bookings will be charged in full where: Cancellations are made with less than 2 hours notice prior to the dispatch of the vehicle within the metropolitan area, please confirm with our office.

Cancellations are permitted within a period of less that 2 hours, but no less than 1 hour for corporate bookings. Where corporate bookings are cancelled within 1 hour, the full charge of the booking will apply.

Cancellations are made with less than 24 hours’ notice for the Renault Masterbus. Or bookings where the passengers fail to arrive or make contact with the chauffeur or the Chasing Cars Office. Cancellations for Weddings, School Formals and Special Occasions – refer to special terms and conditions. 


SPECIAL  EVENT  TERMS  AND  CONDITIONS 

For Weddings, please see next section. 

Either full payment or a non-refundable booking fee of 50% is required for Special Occasions such as but not limited to; School Formals, Sporting Events and Concerts  deemed  low  demand. If a partial booking fee has been made, full payment is required 48 hours prior to commencement of the event. 

Credit card details are required to secure all bookings.

Where Special Occasion bookings are to be cancelled, a period of more than 7 days must be provided prior to the booking date. If more than the non-refundable booking fee has been paid in advance, the portion over the 50% booking fee will be refunded. 


High  demand  Events

Some  events  are  deemed  high  demand  by  Chasing  Cars.  When  an  event  has  been  deemed  a  high  demand  event,  full  payment  upfront  is  required  upfront  to  secure  your  booking.  This  fee  is  non  refundable.  We  operate  on  a  first-come  first-served  basis,  and  do  not  offer  preferential  bookings  to  specific  clients.  

A  surcharge  fee,  determined  by  our  office,  will  be  added  to  your  booking  for  high  demand  events.


Wedding Booking Terms of Payment and Cancellation

Upon initial quote of the Wedding booking, a non-refundable 50% of the booking fee must be made payable within 2 weeks. If no payment is received within 2 weeks, the vehicle will be released and made available for rebooking. Once the fee has been paid, the vehicle will be secured for the event date. If a cancellation is requested outside of 4 weeks from the wedding date, and more than the non-refundable booking fee has been paid to Chasing Cars in advance, the portion above the 50% booking fee will be refunded to the client. Full payment is required within 4 weeks of the Wedding Date and will be billed directly to the card on file. 


Extra Charges

In the event of extra charges or extensions (refer below) the passenger is to immediately pay the extra charge to the chauffeur either prior to or upon completion of transfer or the charges will be applied to the credit card on file or added to the account for the applicable bookings. 


Extensions

The hirer is responsible for any charges levied by Chasing Cars and it's Licensees in respect of extra time in the event that your booking does not run to schedule. This includes any extra charges levied where you choose to extend the duration of your booking and include charges for traffic delays. 


Smoking

Smoking in not permitted by law in the vehicle. 


Consumption whilst in vehicle

Food & beverages are not to be consumed in the vehicle. Unless otherwise agreed upon before commencement of the journey with the Driver. 


Pets

Pets are permitted in our vehicles, however they must be restrained, clean, and dry. A blanket/mat must be provided by the passenger travelling, unless Chasing Cars has been notified prior, in which one will be provided. 


Quotation

Prices are current at the time of quotation and subject to availability at the time of booking. All quoted prices include GST. Chasing Cars and it's Licensees reserves the right to pass on, without notice, any increases that may occur in any applicable airport charges, entry fees or parking charges. Airport delays on location waiting: in regard to airport pickups, Chasing Cars and it's Licensees will monitor all aircraft movements. If passengers are delayed after arriving at the terminal, additional fees may apply for any extra waiting times as specified in our Waiting Times Policy above. 


Corporate Accounts

Discounts may be offered to business' who open an ongoing account with us. Discounts are in the form of a discounted corporate rate, not in the form of any specified percentage discount. Please contact our office to discuss. 


General Bookings - Bonus Items

Complimentary Water and mints will be provided to corporate bookings. Complimentary mints will be provided to general bookings. When wet weather is occurring, clients will be provided with an umbrella, to be returned at the completion of the booking. Chasing Cars will not provide any funds for the purchasing of these items, nor will it provide any refund or discount if these bonus items are not wanted or required. 


Wedding Bookings - Bonus Items

Water/ice/mints/umbrellas/flutes/ribbons will be provided by Chasing Cars at no extra cost to the client, when a Wedding booking is taken out with us. The items provided will be within reason to the amount of passengers booked. Chasing Cars will not provide any funds for the purchasing of these items, nor will it provide any refund or discount if these bonus items are not wanted or required. 


Alcohol Consumption

Chasing Cars is not a licensed liquor provider and all alcohol that is required must be provided at your own time and expense. All alcohol must be consumed inside the vehicle only. No corking charges apply. 

Alcohol Consumption is subject to the driver or chauffeur's sole discretion, and must be discussed before commencement of the journey. The driver or chauffeur reserves the right to evict any clients from the vehicle due to any inappropriate or unruly behaviour as a result. Our standard eviction policy applies. 


Subcontracting

Chasing Cars and our Licensees reserve the right to use the services of other approved limousine/bus service providers as required. These operators will remain under the supervision of Chasing Cars and our Licensees at all times, and will comply to all of our policies and standards. 


Vehicle Changes

Chasing Cars and our Licensees will endeavour to allocate the requested vehicle to all bookings. However, Chasing Cars and our Licensees reserve the right to substitute all vehicles with that of a suitable replacement vehicle of a similar class if the requested vehicle becomes unavailable. Unavailability can be, but is not limited to; late finish of a previous booking, vehicle unserviceability, or any other matter which we deem the vehicle cannot complete the booking. 

A suitable replacement vehicle is a vehicle determined by Chasing Cars to be of the same category / class as the original vehicle. No input from the client will be, nor is required, when determining a replacement vehicle. Nor does Chasing Cars and our Licensees accept any responsibility for inconvenience caused by the substituting of our vehicles. 


Seat Belts

Under Australian laws, it is compulsory that all passengers wear seat belts where fitted at all times when the vehicle is in motion. 

Child restraints – Child Seats


Children under the age of 8 years must be placed in a Child Seat by Australian Law. However, this law is not applicable to Charters and taxis, and therefore one is not required. Chasing Cars is able to provide Child Seats, for a fee of $10, but it is the parents or caregivers responsibility to ensure that it is fitted to their satisfaction, or fit the seat themselves if the driver hasn't had the time to arrange fitting before hand. 


On Time Performance

Please be assured that Chasing Cars and it's Licensees will take every reasonable safeguard to achieve an on time service, however in the unlikely event of our chauffeurs being late due to circumstances howsoever caused, no liability will be accepted by Chasing Cars and it's Licensees. 


Luggage/baggage Information

Our sedan’s maximum luggage limitations are two normal sized suitcases (check in size for a plane) plus two pieces of hand luggage/soft luggage (carry-on for a plane), or one large suitcase plus one set of Golf Clubs and one hand luggage/soft luggage. 

Customers should consider booking a larger vehicle if more luggage capacity is required. Please contact our office to discuss options. 

Additional luggage transfer will incur further cost to the client, price on application at the time of a booking. No suitcases will be transported inside the passenger area of the vehicle due to transport regulations & safety concerns. 


Lost & Found

Chasing Cars and it's Licensees will not assume liability for any lost or misplaced personal property. In the event the customer leaves personal items in the vehicle Chasing Cars and it's Licensees shall try to deliver any items back to the Customer at their expense or the item/s may be collected from our office upon prior arrangement. 


Damage to Vehicle & Inappropriate Behaviour

You, the client, are liable for any charge levied by Chasing Cars and it's Licensees in respect of any damage caused to a vehicle due to your instructions or any directions you give to the driver or chauffeur. The driver or chauffeur reserves the right to evict any clients from the vehicle due to any inappropriate or unruly behaviour. No refund will be offered in these circumstances. 

Cleaning to vehicles resulting in damage caused by the client will be billed immediately to the credit card on file. Current charges are as follows: Chewing Gum is a prohibited item and charges are heavy for damage caused - $500 for removal plus replacement of parts which will be charged at cost plus fitting charges. Emesis (Vomit) damage can cause heavy loss of income for Chasing Cars and it's Licensees as vehicles have to be professionally detailed and aired for several days - $250 for small damage, going up to $1000 for large scale damage. The size of damage is at the sole discretion of Chasing Cars and it's Licensees only, and no opinion will be taken by that of the client. Liquid Damage - Any damage caused by spilt liquids will be charged as follows - $100 for small non water spills, up to $250 for large spills. The size of the spill is at the sole discretion of Chasing Cars and it's Licensees only, and no opinion will be taken by that of the client. 


Customer Safety

Our chauffeurs will at all times drive at safe and sensible speeds and in accordance with legal speed limits, traffic and current road conditions and furthermore the driver reserves the right to deny access to a venue they feel may put the passengers and vehicle in an unsafe situation. 


Limits of Liabilities & Insurance

Maximum liability if accepted will be limited to a refund for the trip in question. All care will be taken, but no liability will be assumed. No claim for liquidated damages, consequential loss for any other costs will be assumed. 


Exclusions

Chasing Cars and our Licensees shall be under no liability whatsoever to the Customer for any indirect loss and/or expense (including loss of profit) suffered by the Customer arising out of a breach by Chasing Cars and our Licensees of this contract. Chasing Cars Conditions www.chasingcarsaustralia.com.au is the website of Chasing Cars. By using this site you agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy. The Privacy Policy relates to the collection and use of personal information you may provide to us through your contact on the website. Your continued use of our website and its facilities constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions. Chasing Cars believes the information in the website is correct. Chasing Cars disclaims all liability and responsibility for any direct or indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by any recipient relying on anything contained in or omitted from our website or publication. 


Use of Personal Information

Your personal information is used for the hiring of Chasing Cars services and used for that purpose alone. By entering the Chasing Cars booking facility, you understand that all information provided by you is your sole responsibility and Chasing Cars accepts no responsibility for any incorrect information provided in respect to the hiring made through this facility. Your personal information may be retained for use in future bookings. If at any time you believe the information is incorrect, you may contact us to have it corrected. Credit Card details are stored securely for the purpose as outlined in our terms and conditions of hire. Chasing Cars staff and it's Licensees are obliged under the Confidentiality Deed to keep personal information secure. 

Disclosure


Chasing Cars may be obliged to surrender your personal information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with the applicable law. Personal information may also be disclosed to identify, contact or bring legal action against anyone damaging, injuring or interfering with our rights or property.
